You could use a script like that to dump the acls to a file which you
could restore with "setfacl --restore=<acl-file>" in case of a restore.

STORE_ACL=/root/acl-backup

for i in $BACKUP_DIRS; do
cd $i
/usr/bin/getfacl -R --skip-base . >$STORE_ACL/${i//\//_}
done
